DRAFT — REQUIRES INTERNAL REVIEW BEFORE PUBLISH.
This page describes Helion's commitments and process. It deliberately does NOT claim
certifications Helion does not yet hold. Any change to certifications status (e.g. ISO 9001 actually awarded)
must be reflected by editing this page and removing the relevant "in progress" markers — and only after the
certificate is issued by the accredited body.
Quality Policy
Draft v0.1 · Last updated: TODO: set on publish
1. Our commitment
Helion Global LLP manufactures and supplies precision-machined and forged components for industrial use. We
commit to:
- Build every part to a written specification agreed with the customer.
- Verify each component against that specification before it leaves the factory.
- Issue a material certificate with every order, traceable to a specific heat number.
-
Honour the international standard (ASME, ASTM, DIN, JIS, API, ISO) we agreed for the part — not a similar one.
-
Respond to documented quality concerns within one business day and propose corrective action within five.
2. Standards we build to
We build to widely-accepted public standards. The standard for a specific order is fixed in the purchase order.
Common references:
-
Flanges: ASME B16.5 (RF / FF / RTJ faces, classes 150# – 2500#); ASME B16.47 (large diameter,
series A/B).
- Pipe fittings: ASME B16.9 (butt-weld), ASME B16.11 (forged threaded / socket-weld).
-
Materials: ASTM A105 / A105N (carbon steel), A350 LF2 (low-temperature), A182 F-grades
(stainless / alloy steel), A234 WPB/WPC (carbon-steel fittings), A193 B7/B8 (bolting), A194 2H/8M (nuts).
- Valves: API 600 / API 6D / API 6A for upstream and pipeline service.
-
Quality management: built to ISO 9001:2015.
Certification in progress.
-
Automotive (where applicable): built to IATF 16949 principles.
Certification targeted; date to be confirmed.
3. Material traceability
Every component leaves the factory with documentation that lets you trace it back to the raw material:
-
EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate for the raw material, by default. EN 10204 3.2
(third-party-witnessed) on request.
-
Heat number stamping on the component (or on the tag for small parts that cannot be stamped
without compromising specification).
-
Internal inspection report referencing the heat number, the standard, and the inspection
results (dimensional, NDE where applicable).
4. Inspection and testing
Every order is dimensionally inspected before dispatch. Inspection capabilities include:
-
Dimensional: vernier, micrometer, height gauge, profile projector, CMM (subject to size).
- Hardness: Rockwell and Brinell.
- Surface roughness: portable profilometer.
-
Non-destructive examination (NDE) on request: visual, dye-penetrant (PT), magnetic-particle
(MT), ultrasonic (UT), radiographic (RT). NDE is performed by qualified personnel certified to ASNT SNT-TC-1A
Level II or equivalent.
-
Hydrostatic / pneumatic testing for valves and pressure-containing parts where the standard
requires it.
If a customer specifies a different inspection scope, we agree it in writing as part of the purchase order.
Third-party inspection (TPI) by bodies such as TÜV, Bureau Veritas, SGS, or Lloyd's Register is supported and
arranged on request.
5. Non-conformance and corrective action
If a component does not meet the agreed specification:
- Internal: it is segregated, tagged, and reported in the internal non-conformance log.
-
If the customer has received the component: report to
quality@helionglobal.net with photos, the component
identification (heat number / serial), and the deviation observed. Within one business day we acknowledge.
Within five business days we propose corrective action: rework, replacement, credit, or — if root cause is at
our mill supplier — a stop-shipment and re-source.
-
Material certificates and inspection records are retained for at least eight years after dispatch, in line
with Indian audit requirements.
6. Process commitments
- Quotation response: within 24 hours during business days (Rajkot, IST).
- Drawing review: we flag manufacturability concerns in the quotation, not after the PO.
- Pre-shipment inspection report: shared by email before dispatch on every order.
- Material certificates with every order, as standard.
7. What we do NOT claim
To keep this page honest and audit-ready:
-
We are not (yet) ISO 9001 certified. We BUILD TO the standard. The certification is in progress with an
accredited body. This page will be updated when the certificate is issued.
-
We are not API-licensed for any standard. Where API standards are referenced, we mean the technical
specification, not licensed manufacturing.
-
We do not warrant that a part meeting a public standard is fit for any particular installation or service
condition — that determination is the buyer's responsibility, or that of the buyer's engineer.
